Day 4, Diagnostics & Therapy

Diagnostic Imaging Surgery

In surgery, sonography, CT and MRI are the most commonly used methods for diagnostic imaging. This lecture will explain which methods to use. Sonography is usually the first choice for clarifying surgical clinical pictures. CT and MRI are often additionally used as cross-sectional imaging methods with superimposition-free representation in order to anticipate possible complications during treatment or to make statements about the diagnosis of how far the cancer might have spread already.
