Histotripsy- high-tech in radiology
Histotripsy is a new type of focused ultrasound that automatically removes precise primary and metastatic liver tumors. The advantage is that no cuts into the skin is required. This method has already been used in a pivotal study in the USA, but only a few patients participated. This treatment method deserves more attention and its efficiency will be presented in this lecture to further increase the usage in the near future.
